Kohli replied to critics ahead of Asia Cup
Virat Kohli is ready to return to action in the upcoming Asia Cup competition in 2022, which will start on August 27 in UAE. The Men in Blue will be kicking off their campaign under Babar Azam and it will take place a day later in Dubai. Kohli, who is preparing for his return to competitive cricket after a break of over a month, will try to muster some runs that have been a problem for him lately, as we saw in the England tour.
Kohli failed to notch a single half-century across the six innings in all formats in England. He scored it in the rescheduled Test in Edgbaston, which was his highest score on the entire tour. Kohli is ready to leave his past chapter behind as it seems and he was also working really hard to get back into the groove. Ahead of the tournament, there was a video of Kohli training that went viral on social media this month.
The former India captain has acknowledged the mistakes he made in England and stated that the dismissal went down a similar pattern. However, he worked hard to rectify it. He stated that what happened in England it was just a pattern and something he can work on, as long as he can feel when he isn't batting well and doing his best.
Kohli was faced with massive criticism by both fans and experts. However, he has a message for them, saying that he knows where his game stands and it's impossible to run this far in international cricket without the ability to overcome this type of situation.
